More Blog Search Options at Zuula

If you haven’t checked out Zuula’s blog search capabilities recently, I suggest you do. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the many different blog search engines Zuula now offers.

Until recently, the blog search options at Zuula were limited to Google blog search, Technorati, IceRocket blog search, and Topix blog search.

To these original four engines, however, we’ve added another five — for a total of nine (yes, nine) blog search “tabs”. The additional engines are Blogdigger, Bloglines, Blogpulse, Feedster, and Sphere.

Thus, if you’re looking for all the recent blog postings on a certain subject, there’s no better place to do your searching than at Zuula.

When you’re using Zuula blog search, you may find that some of the tabs return results a bit slowly. This is merely a reflection of the fact that the source engines often return results slowly themselves. Unfortunately, we can’t do much about this. We can only return results as fast as we get them, and some services simply take a while to report results (as many blog search users are painfully aware!).

It’s also worth mentioning that, for all included blog search engines, Zuula always displays blog search results. By default, some of the source engines return a mix of blog, news, and other types of search results. We have made certain, however, that the results we display are just the blog search results.

Finally, when you’re using Zuula blog search, you have the option of “dragging-n-dropping” tabs so that they are in your personally preferred order. If your preferred blog search engine is Sphere, for example, you can move its tab so that it’s the first in the row. That way, every time you do a blog search, you’ll see results from Sphere first.

(The ability to “drag-n-drop” tabs is available, by the way, for all search types at Zuula.)

Archive of Zuula Holiday Logos

Since it’s St. Patrick’s Day — and Zuula has a special St. Patrick’s Day logo to celebrate the occasion — we thought it would be a good idea to finally create a little archive of all the holiday logos we’ve developed and displayed in the past.  You can find the archive here.

Zuula for Your Browser Search Box

If you use Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0, it’s now possible to access Zuula through your browser search box.

To add Zuula to your search box, just go to the Zuula home page, www.zuula.com.  There, you should see a search box image similar to the one displayed here.  Below that image, there is a button which, when you click on it, will add Zuula to your search box.

Having Zuula in your search box makes it much easier to get search results from Zuula.  All you have to do is enter the keywords for your search in the search box, hit enter, and the search box sends the keywords to Zuula, which then displays the relevant search results in your browser window.

The search box capability is just one of the many things we’ve been working on since we launched Zuula.  We have an active development program intent on constantly improving Zuula’s usefulness.  Don’t hesitate to let us know what features or functionality you would like to see available in Zuula.

Zuula Celebrates Groundhog Day

If you haven’t already seen our special Groundhog Day logo, here’s a copy:

If you’re reading this on Groundhog Day (February 2), you also can see the logo live on our homepage at www.zuula.com.

A search on [groundhog day] at Zuula is here. The official news from Punxsutawney Phil is here. And information about the film “Groundhog Day,” a personal favorite, can be found at Wikipedia (be careful of spoilers) and IMDB.

Let’s hope Phil is right this year and spring truly is just around the corner!
